PROJECT
Park Vista, Greenwich
BRIEF
A modern take on traditional style, to reflect the interior of the clients’ extensively renovated period home. A space that flows from inside to out, creating an 'extra room'.
DESIGN RATIONALE
Inspired by the 17th century baroque influence within nearby Greenwich Park, we designed the garden to have a central axis with green ‘walls’, a glass backdrop and water feature as a focal point.
RESULTS
The space is broken into three parts:
- Italian tiled floor flowing from the conservatory, surrounded by yew hedging and with two, equally spaced, cube water features.
- Enclosed courtyard for dining, incorporating a York stone terrace surrounded for privacy by walls of brick and hedges of yew and pleached hornbeam.
- Concealed area for the shed and storage of garden furniture, laid with York stone gravel.
