BRIEF

To create an inviting space in which to relax and entertain, using materials to compliment the stylish interior of the client's home.

DESIGN RATIONALE

A simply designed symmetrical space that not only provides a picture view from inside the house, yet still retains well styled functionality.

RESULTS

An "extra room". It is now a space that feels larger than its 2.5m x 4.5m dimensions would suggest, an inviting outdoor space. Western Red Cedar timber and lime rendered walls draw light and provide warmth to the space. The contrasting dark slate walling and paving provide structure and functionality.
