Project 09
King George Street, Greenwich
Brief
To provide a functional garden with space to relax for two, yet still having the capacity for entertaining friends. A plinth to show off the clients stained glass sculpture was a must.
Design Rational
A simplified space of vistas. A water feature, a sculpture plinth and metal planters placed to provide viewpoints from the benching surrounding a raised yorkstone terrace aswell as from inside the conservatory.
Results
A brighter more inviting garden. Yorkstone paving, Cedar screening and an orange feature wall help to brighten the space, while the terrace with incorporated Cedar benching provide an area in which to sit relax and enjoy the other features on display. A bespoke Yorkstone stack water feature matches the plinth on which sits the clients stained glass feature with views to it from inside the house as well as within the garden. The planting pallet is kept simple for maintenance reasons, yet is still able to provide structure and evergreen colour in the powder coated metal planters.
