Circus Street, Greenwich
Brief
To revitalise a small overgrown urban garden providing a low maintenance outdoor area suitable for dining and relaxing, making maximum use of the awkward shaped space.
Design Rational
Clever use of curves and vistas to draw the eye around the space making the garden feel larger and more inviting. Use of golden tones in the choice of materials to add a feeling of warmth.
Results
A framed walkway leads out to a covered built in dining space with ample room to entertain. The use of Iroko for the in situ furniture and screening blends with the beige granite and yorkstone to provide a warming feel. Incorporated lighting and heating extends the usertime, whilst the framed views from inside the property means that the garden can be enjoyed at any time of year.
